Hey Eagles! My name is Laura Jackson, and I’m one of the School Counselors here at West Craven High School. I’m originally from Maryland and earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Salisbury University. Before pursuing a career in school counseling, I worked in a variety of fields. I later earned my Master’s degree in School Counseling from Liberty University. This is my second year both as a School Counselor and at West Craven High, and I’m excited to continue working with our amazing students!

I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and served as a teacher for 7 years before deciding to make the career change to becoming a school counselor. I earned my Master's Degree at East Carolina University in Counselor Education and have served as a school counselor since graduating. I love helping students work toward and reach their goals for the present and future.
